Shipping Policy

Domestic Shipping

Domestic shipping currently covers all 50 states of the U.S.A., plus the territory of Puerto Rico.

 

International Shipping & APO/FPO Military Addresses

At this time, we do not offer international shipping or shipping to APO/FPO Military addresses; please check back in the near future as we will soon be offering these services as well. 

 

Shipping Terms

All specimens are packaged and shipped with the utmost care, and we proudly use recycled packaging material whenever possible.

We ship packages from our store in Menasha, Wisconsin. Most items will be shipped on either Tuesday or Saturday upon receipt of payment for the order, and extremely heavy/oversized items will take time to secure/build shipping crates, so please call for shipping schedule. The customer is required to pay all shipping costs at time of sale.   

Handling Charges:  We do not add handling charges, except for oversized or heavy weight items.  If an item is oversized or heavy weight, it will be noted in the item's description along with the extra fee that will be charged.  For more information on oversized items, please see our policy on this below.

Insurance:  In the best interest of all parties, all packages will be insured for full value in case the package is lost or damaged in transit. The shipping insurance is included in the shipping cost of your order.  Special shipping arrangements will be made for high-dollar amount items to ensure the security and safety of the item while it is in transit.

Signature Required For All Jewelry Orders:

In the best interest of all parties, all packages containing items of Jewelry are sent United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail with "Signature Required" added. 

 

Signature Required For Orders Between $200-$1,999:

In the best interest of all parties, all packages with Crystal & Mineral Specimen orders totaling between $200-$1,999 are sent United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail with "Signature Required" added. 

Registered Mail Required For Orders Over $2,000:

All packages with Mineral & Crystal Specimen orders totaling over $2,000 are sent United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail Registered Mail (please note that due to the security precautions with Registered Mail, packages will be delivered a little slower than regular Priority Mail, sometimes taking up to 14 days.

 

Shipping Costs:  Any purchase of Crystal or Mineral Specimens totaling up to $99.99 will be charged a Flat Rate Fee of $8.00. Any purchase of Mineral or Crystal Specimens totaling $100.00 and over will be charged a Flat Rate Fee of $10.00.  Any purchase of Jewelry will be shipped free.

Shipping Method:  All Items are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail whenever possible, which allows our packages to be sent as timely and cost-effective as possible with automatic tracking.  Shipping via Priority Mail, most items will be delivered within 2-3 days.  For orders that do not fit the Priority Mail criteria of size, other shipping arrangements will be made.

Please note that the USPS does not guarantee delivery times with Priority Mail, and may take longer than the typical delivery times quoted above.  The delivery time is the time it will take for the USPS to delivery your package once we deliver the package to the Post Office. 

We will try to ship your order as soon as possible; but, if you want guaranteed delivery within a specific time period, please see our Expedited Shipping policy.
Expedited Shipping:  For clients seeking overnight delivery options, please contact us before you place your order. To contact us, please call 920-380-8679 during our business hours of Tuesday (10am-5pm CST) or Saturday (10am-1pm CST). We will try to accommodate your request using USPS Priority Express Mail (1-day delivery guaranteed in lower 48 states, 2-day delivery guaranteed for Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico).  Extra handling charges may apply.
Oversized Items:  Our oversized and extremely heavy items will require special shipping crates so please call for the shipping cost and delivery schedule.  The transport carrier for extremely heavy or oversized packages will be determined at time of sale since these items cannot be shipped through the United States Postal Service. 
Undeliverable Packages:  Customers are responsible for all shipping charges if the package is returned due to being unclaimed, refused, or undeliverable because of an invalid shipping address.
